What is the max amount I can sue for in small claims court?

Every small claims court has its own maximum amount you’re allowed to sue for (i.e. $10,000 in all CA counties). Once you’ve entered the location of your claim, Squabble will automatically determine your jurisdictional max for free.

If your claim is for more than your jurisdiction’s maximum, you can decide with Squabble whether you’d still like to file with Squabble for that maximum amount or instead visit a lawyer and file complex paperwork in regular civil court.
